Katawa Shoujo at Anime Expo 2012

Four Leaf Studios and Katawa Shoujo will make a showing at the Anime Expo this year. It runs from the 29th of June to the 2nd of July, and will be held in Los Angeles, California, USA.

While we won't be holding a panel, there will be a couple of tables in the Artist Alley staffed by developers. You can meet weee, gebyy, Suriko and Pimmy Losstarot, and pick up the new Katawa Shoujo artbook, Tomorrow/Today. It runs 32 pages, and is in full colour.

We will be at two tables, located at A52 and A53 (adjacent to one another).

Update: Please see this handy dandy chart for where we are located.

A Stalker's Guide to 4LS

So it turns out a whole lot of people out there think just because we made KS, we are interesting people. "Tell us more about yourselves" has been requested a whole bunch, and so has links to our blogs and whatnot. So, I thought I'd collate all the 4LS web presence to one place. There's actually not all that much of it, and it's not like we are hard to find (for instance, 4LS twitter follows all the devs' private twitters), but when people can't find one of us, they come to me or someone else asking. So here's everything I could remember off the top of my head, minus private stuff. I'll try to keep this post updated I suppose, so it's possible to refer to it in future as well, and I expect people to complain to me that something that shouldn't be here is or vice versa

Katawa Shoujo at Comitia 100

I totally missed this by a week, but thought I'd mention it anyway. Our ever active Japanese friends attended the Comitia100 doujin event last weekend. The venue was packed with 5000 doujin circles and a throng of visitors, many of who picked up the 冬至 - Midwinter artbook for themselves. Once again a successful event for us.

In other news, progress on the Japanese translation (and others, I trust) is steady, while the main dev team has been gathering their strength over the spring. Hope everyone will have a great summer!

April Fools: Katawa Shoujo HD rerelease!

Man, time sure flies. It's been four months since we released KS, even though it feels like it was just last week. As we all know, the aftermath was rather exhausting so we've wanted to move on.

Seems like we're stuck. We've listened to the feedback from our unbelievably cool fans (yes, you), and wanted to act on it. So, we ran down the list of things that were the most requested and more importantly, doable and made two of them happen. Please enjoy the newly improved Katawa Shoujo!

Get the release here

Since it's a rerelease, the game is unchanged except for:

High definition

All right, let's be honest: using 800x600 pixel resolution in 2012 doesn't make sense. So, enjoy KS now in glorious 1080p resolution.

Objectionable content removed

We removed all content that could be interpreted as "inappropriate". Simple as that, and absolutely everyone should be happy now.

Katawa Shoujo Soundtrack Up for Download

The Katawa Shoujo original soundtrack is now available for download. It can be accessed on the official site in the Downloads section, or from this link:

DDL: Katawa Shoujo Enigmatic Box of Sound

All music pieces used in Katawa Shoujo are inside, including the animated cutscene music. Well done to all the musicians who contributed music to Katawa Shoujo, especially our main musician, NicolArmarfi.
